A couple days after Stephanie + Brent’s beautiful Calgary wedding, we met at Moraine Lake to capture some gorgeous sunrise images. Then we drove to Lake Louise and a few other picturesque spots to finish off the day! It was perfect weather, and when the snow started to fall at Peyto Lake, it was quite a sight to see – the stunning finale! These two are avid climbers, hikers and all around fit people, so getting out there and exploring – even in a wedding dress – was right up their alley.
A day later, we got talking with Stephanie + Brent again, and realized we really wished we had found a waterfall to shoot at – we had tried one on our initial shoot day, but it was a little rough and difficult to use for photos. These two put their heads together and contacted some friends to see if they could find something – then messaged us to see if we were game – well of course we were! So we met up with them one more time at the base of Nakiska ski hill in Kananaskis where they had already hiked earlier in the day to scout the location for us (such dream clients!). We trekked through the forest and over lots of fun obstacles and were able to photograph at not just one, but two amazing waterfalls!
It was hard to narrow down images from this entire experience and we can’t thank these two enough for their warm welcome, their kindess, fun and easy spirits and most importantly now, their friendship. We were so influenced by our time in Alberta, that we ourselves have picked it as the setting for our wedding this June!
