When I met Jane + Chris at the Total Wedding show in January 2011, I thought they were incredibly cute and sweet. Them telling me about their wedding at the Art Gallery of Ontario got me excited, as it was a venue I had wanted to shoot at for a long time.
I had no idea that a few months later they would hire me for their May 2012 wedding! Chris later told me that, out of the 35+ photographers at the show that year, I was the only booth they stopped at – Chris just said he was drawn to my work – what a HUGE compliment!
This was a wedding to fall in love with – a photographer’s dream. An amazing couple in LOVE, the perfect venue, more than 3 hours for photos around the city and details that make a girl swoon. Jane’s dress was unlike any other I’d ever seen – I loved it! The grey flower belt that she wore with it, she actually made herself! Jane was more a DIY’er than I thought. Then we had the girls totally fun bouquets – yeah – awesome!
It was definitely a long but incredibly fun day with these two! The gorgeous church, St. Paul’s Basilica, and then photos on a streetcar, St. Lawrence Market (with a quick stop for peameal bacon sandwiches!), Osgoode Hall, Chinatown and then finishing it off with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony before the reception. Check out the beautiful photos from this wedding and leave some love!
