Last January, we traveled to Jamaica with these two and their family and friends for a week at the Riu Ocho Rios. We had such a blast with everyone and they welcomed us into their group with open arms. Their wedding week was a very rainy one (the wedding day was the worst weather I’ve had in the Caribbean!), but we made it through and still captured some stunning images.
They were married at Firefly Estate (our second time shooting there!), which is a hilltop museum and wedding venue. It’s one of the most stunning views in Jamaica and we got to watch the storm clouds roll in from across the ocean. We then headed back to the resort where they had a beautiful and unique clear tent for their beach reception. It rained all through the evening, but we snuck off for some nighttime shots anyways.
Their Trash the Dress was a ton of fun! These two were game for a jam-packed day of visiting different locations, and thankfully it was our only sunny and rain-free day all week! We love to scout new locations when we shoot destination weddings, so we make sure to find places that are off the beaten path. We were the first photographers to shoot at all of these locations with a wedding couple! We ended the day back at the Riu Ocho Rios to get some beach shots in the gorgeous light.
We also have to thank and highly recommend our awesome driver for the Wedding/Trash the Dress day! Errol from Travel Jamaica Tours is fantastic, and he is now our go-to guy for all our tours in Jamaica.
