I think Brenna + Mark’s wedding day will go down in history as the windiest wedding I have ever photographed. October is always a notoriously unpredictable month for weather – it could be 20 degrees and sunny or it could be pouring rain (or even snow!). This wedding day had wind gusts of up to 70km/h, and while it wasn’t raining, the sky looked like it could at any time. The swells in Lake Ontario were the highest I’ve ever seen, and since Harbour Banquet Centre is right on the lake, you could see it from any window (it was a little scary, to be honest!). But despite the wind, their wedding day was still beautiful, and we managed to at least take them outside for some photos and laughed at how difficult it was to walk into the wind.
Brenna + Mark are incredibly sweet, and another wonderful couple whom I didn’t get to meet until the wedding day! This soft-spoken pair have a wonderful group of friends and family supporting them, and it showed in their emotional speeches through the night. Thank you for having me!
