Last summer, we had the honour of flying down to the Bahamas to meet up with Jessica + Derek and their awesome family and friends. These lovebirds had planned a beautiful and small wedding on the beaches of Paradise Island, however the weather had other plans. It poured rain for a bit and to avoid delay and the minister leaving (!), they moved the wedding under the terrace. Naturally, the skies cleared and it ended up being sunny shortly thereafter. So, while Jessica didn’t have the beach ceremony she wanted, she was able to marry the love of her life in a gorgeous paradise!
Right after the wedding, we wandered down to Cloisters to photograph the bridal party. This beautiful property contains the remains of a 14th century French Monastery that was transported here from France. It’s a popular spot for weddings and I hope to book a wedding there one day (so if you’re reading this and getting married at the Cloisters – drop me a line!).
We headed back to the resort to enjoy dinner and dancing under the stars! It was so much fun hanging out with these two and their guests for a few days! Stay tuned for their sunrise trash the dress session!
Heather, thank you so much for the beautiful photographs. You are an amazing artist and photographer. We are so happy you were there to celebrate with us. Derek and I couldn’t be happier with your work. We felt like we were hanging out with friends that we have known forever.
