St. Lucia was always a place I wanted to visit and shoot a wedding, so this really was such an incredible experience to travel to this beautiful island and capture the elopement of this couple. Jon and I rented a car and a private villa (with our own pool!) in the mountain overlooking the gorgeous Pitons! It was breathtaking and we had such an amazing time. Driving in St. Lucia is definitely interesting as their roads are rather narrow and wind up and down all the hilly and mountainous landscape. We did have a couple days to explore the local town of Soufriere (where we had to go to get an internet connection since our villas wifi never worked), and also visit waterfalls and some local restaurants. I’m looking forward to going back so we can explore more of the northern part of the island (and hopefully shoot another wedding!).
This wedding took place at Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, which is a luxury resort at the base of the Pitons. It’s a stunning location for a wedding with various options for ceremony and reception locations. The lush rainforests in St. Lucia, and the gorgeous landscape and water just make it such a different Caribbean experience!
